This piece is part of an exploration of organic forms and textures combined with my love for metallics and the human form. This piece is about speaking against oppressive standards and trusting your body's intuition. With my hand-painted pieces, each nuance of brushwork, texture, and technique is visible on the canvas surface. The sculptural acrylic medium I use creates a 3-dimensional effect that highlights the shine of the gold and silver foil.
