This painting is part of my ongoing investigation of metallics and mixing unexpected mediums and textures. With my hand-painted pieces, each nuance of brushwork, texture, and technique is visible on the canvas surface. The lively texture of the acrylic paint contrasts with the smooth metallic paper. My intention was for the metallic disco balls to serve as mirrors so that the viewer can also be a part of the narrative.
