Premier Barber Studio, an established fixture in Cleveland's barbering scene for over two decades, recently expanded with a new location in Ohio City. The team approached me to establish a distinct brand identity for the Ohio City location that still feels harmonious with existing branding across other locations.

This refined brand identity would be implemented on printed marketing material, social media platforms, and a new website with more accessible appointment booking functionalities.


The challenge was that I was not able to initiate a full-scale rebranding effort. Rather, I had to revitalize the current type and color system to accommodate the existing signage.
I decided that the best route was to implement a system of secondary logos and sub-marks that would complement and add nuance to the original brand identity.

During our initial consultation, the Premier Barber Studio team illustrated the profound importance of their establishment within the community. The owner embodies this commitment firsthand by serving as a Cleveland police officer and volunteering at the LeBron James Foundation's I Promise School in Akron.

The team emphasized the studio's commitment to being a welcoming and inclusive space for clientele from diverse backgrounds.

A particularly resonant quote from our discussion encapsulates the ethos of Premier Barber Studio: “We are not just a business in the community. We are a part of the community.”
