It’s essential for democracy, scientific progress, artistic expression, social justice, peace, and each individual’s ability to live authentically. There have been many legal restrictions on the expression and existence of the LGBTQ+ community, especially within the last year. However, Ohio has many organizations that offer support and resources for the LGBTQ+ community. 

In 2023, anti-trans bills continue to be introduced across the country. These bills seek to block trans people from receiving basic healthcare, education, legal recognition, and the right to publicly exist.
